Welcome to our December Newsletter and the last one of the year! It's been a crazy, whirlwind year but Christmas - and a short break - is now within our sights. As the year draws to a close, we'd like to take this opportunity to thank you for your avid reading over the past 12 months and to those of you that we've done business with - thank you for your support and we look forward to working with you again in 2019.

Have a very Merry Christmas.
As a round-up to the year, we thought we'd take a look back at some of our most popular news segments, all of which you can find over on our BLOG.

The Self-Driving Skid Steer

DIG IT were contracted to demolish this large two storey brick and concrete house and prepare the site ready for a new residential development. We also demolished a three storey garage & granny flat located on site, as well as a large concrete swimming pool.

Before any of this work could be carried out, we had to contiguous pile the boundary under a street-front retaining wall. This wall was essentially holding up the public footpath and street. Large steel columns were then installed through the piles, connecting to the retaining wall and providing the support it needed.

We then bulk excavated approximately 1000m3 of sand to a depth of 5 metres below street level, ready for a new basement that would house a large rumpus room.
