So, you’ve found an amazing location that you would like to call home. The neighbourhood is safe, neighbours are pleasant, and the views are captivating. There is only one issue — the house on the property isn’t ideal.

Whether it isn’t the layout you had hoped for or you really didn’t see yourself renovating an older structure, the house is the biggest variable in the equation of your decision to move to this location. While you’d love to just build a new house on this spot, demolishing the existing house seems a touch drastic. We recently completed a four week job at Parramatta Wharf which included the demolition of the existing slab along the wharf with limited head room as well as demolition of an existing rock wall. After this, barged excavation dredging for a new pontoon. 
This is dependent on the type of project, size and (of course) your experience. It is not advisable to carry out any large-scale excavation projects relating to structures. For this, it is always best to bring in the professionals due to a number of reasons including: hazards such as excavation collapse; the costly exercise of hiring the equipment and the expertise required to operate it; and the risks involved in digging and coming across the unknown such as pipes.
