And just like that, it’s already the middle of May. What?! We were just chatting in the office here about a few of the current projects that we are working on and talk soon turned (for various reasons) to some of the jobs that we worked on when DIG IT was first born, way back in 2007. I think it was the whole 'middle of May 2018 already, time flies' thing that did it! That said, we thought we'd share one of the first ever DIG IT jobs with you. Can you guess where it is?
This is Breakfast Point, a suburb in the Inner West of Sydney, sandwiched between Cabarita and Mortlake on the Parramatta River. It is located 16 kilometres west of the Central Business District (CBD).
Plans for the development of Breakfast Point were put in place in the late 1990s and construction has been ongoing for around 15 years now. It is currently home to 3000 people.
In 2007, DIG IT proudly secured a project to carry out the earthworks on part of the site. A site which has become home to over 60 residential buildings - some of those buildings being luxury stand alone housing, others, apartment blocks.
The last phase of the development at Breakfast Point is soon to be completed and we have to say that the change in the suburb over the years has been quite immense and if you haven't been already, the area is definitely worth a visit (especially if you want to get a feel of the Sydney version of the 'Hamptons'.
We can honestly say that we were, and still are, so proud to have been involved in this development and are looking forward to seeing it grow even more in the future.
